Teaching Interests/Philosophy:

Teaching can clearly accomplish some concrete goals, measured in test scores and course evaluations that appeal to those inclined to quantify and tabulate values. But there are also values of another sort, less quantifiable but no less important, such as the importance to science of its students retaining and nurturing their natural curiosity
